Materials and footprint

Sustainability

Slow living is, at heart, a sustainability position: own fewer things, choose better ones, keep them longer.

Fewer, better things

The most sustainable object is the one you do not replace. We keep the range deliberately small and choose pieces made to last, so a single purchase stays useful for years rather than seasons.

Natural materials

We favour materials that age honestly: solid wood, linen, stoneware, rattan, stone, beeswax and soy. They patinate instead of breaking down, and most can be repaired, composted, or recycled at the end of their life.

Makers and sourcing

We are working toward naming the workshop behind each piece and sourcing within Europe wherever we can, to shorten the distance between the maker and your home.

Packaging

Orders ship in recycled and recyclable materials, with plastic limited to what is needed to protect fragile pieces in transit. We keep reducing it as we find alternatives that still arrive intact.

Shipping, duty-paid

We ship within Europe, duty-paid, to keep parcels on shorter routes and to avoid surprise charges at your door. See Shipping and returns for the detail.

Honest about the work ahead

We are a young brand and far from perfect. This page describes what we do today and what we are still working on, and we will update it as that changes rather than overstate it.
